How It Works

A Clear Path from Struggle to Confidence

Unleash Literacy follows a proven, structured sequence. Here is what your child's journey looks like from day one.

Quick Placement Assessment

Your child completes a 15-minute, game-like assessment that pinpoints their current phonics knowledge — which letter-sound relationships they have mastered, where the gaps are, and which syllable types need work. No pressure, no grades, just a smart starting point.

The assessment adapts in real time, presenting easier or harder items based on responses. By the end, the platform has mapped your child's skills to our scope-and-sequence and created a personalized learning path.

Personalized Learning Path

Based on the assessment, the platform builds a custom lesson sequence. It begins exactly where your child needs to start — not where their grade level says they should be.

The path covers phonemic awareness, letter-sound correspondence, blending, segmenting, syllable types, morphology, and fluency. Each skill is taught explicitly before moving on.

Daily Multisensory Lessons

Each lesson follows the Orton-Gillingham cycle: introduce a new concept, practice it through seeing, hearing, saying, and writing, then read it in connected text. Sessions are 20 minutes — short enough to maintain focus, long enough to make progress.

Lessons include interactive phoneme cards, audio-guided blending drills, on-screen tracing for letter formation, and decodable stories that use only patterns the learner has been taught.

Adaptive Review and Reinforcement

The platform uses spaced repetition to bring back concepts at the optimal time for long-term retention. Mastered skills are reviewed less frequently. Challenging patterns appear more often until they are solid.

This approach is based on research showing that distributed practice produces stronger memory traces than massed practice. Your child reviews just enough to retain — and no more.

Progress Tracking and Celebration

Parents see a clear dashboard after every session: what was taught, how the child performed, and what comes next. Learners earn badges, maintain streaks, and celebrate milestones.

The dashboard includes a fluency graph, mastery checklist, and recommended offline activities. You can share reports with teachers or tutors in one click.

What Makes It Multisensory?

Traditional reading programs rely mostly on visual and auditory input. Unleash Literacy adds a kinesthetic-tactile channel to every lesson.

Visual

Color-coded phoneme tiles, animated letter formation, and highlighted text patterns help learners see the structure of words.

Auditory

Every phoneme is modeled with clear audio. Learners hear sounds in isolation, in blends, and in words. They also say sounds aloud for self-monitoring.

Kinesthetic-Tactile

On-screen tracing, drag-and-drop phoneme tiles, and finger-tapping syllable exercises engage the body in learning. Research shows this motor involvement strengthens memory pathways.
